Why Nervous System Health Is the Key to Deep Sleep, Dreams, and Healing

It was not my plan for a second post to be about dreams.
But this one shook my inner world and probably rippled healing through my lineage.
I feel very vulnerable sharing this....here goes... Dreams - some people say:
"I don't dream" or "I never remember my dreams."
And some people also don’t sleep much…
Dreaming requires your nervous system to be in a state of felt safety — what’s called parasympathetic dominance. And most of us live in the exact opposite: survival mode.
Things like…
Chronic stress
Cortisol imbalance
Alcohol, caffeine
Nutrient deficiencies (especially B vitamins, magnesium, melatonin, GABA)
...all interfere with our ability to dream clearly — or remember anything when we do.
I started taking a plant extract to support belly fat reduction and nervous system balance.
That’s it!
No deep spiritual agenda.
But what happened blew my mind.
I began dreaming again. Vividly. Deeply. Symbolically. Not just weird snippets, but meaningful messages.
I decided to track them. Then interpret them.
One step led to the next, and I unearthed subconscious pattern of deep regret, like -
“I don’t deserve abundance because I caused suffering.”
“I must keep myself small until the debt is repaid.”
“I can’t have full joy if I left someone behind in pain.”
I had never named this before. But after my mother passed, I left home.
My father had a really hard time — financially and emotionally.
I now see that I blamed myself. I believed I had abandoned him.
I didn’t have the tools to process it — I just left to survive. But the adult me now sees how deeply I internalized the guilt.
That dream helped me name it. And naming it helped me release it.
What began with wanting to lose visceral fat...led to better sleep...which opened the door to dreams...which surfaced subconscious programs...that revealed ancestral grief...which I’m now releasing — and healing forward through my lineage.
And the catalyst?
A plant-based solution for the nervous system. Who knew?!

When the body feels safe, the soul speaks.
Sometimes through dreams.
Sometimes through memory.
Sometimes through sudden, inexplicable relief.

What I know is -- Our body is the vessel through which our soul expresses.
When it's inflamed, exhausted, or dysregulated, our spiritual signals get scrambled.
We might feel disconnected, unmotivated, or unable to access our intuition — not because we're spiritually blocked, but because our nervous system is overwhelmed.
Spiritual growth requires a regulated body. Healing physically creates space for our spirit to move, speak, and rise.
